Mutsumi Hinoura is the son of Tsukasa Hinoura and comes from a long family line of blacksmiths. In addition to learning under his father at Hinoura Hamono, he also apprenticed under Yoshikane, blending the knowledge and influence of both teachers to create knives that are uniquely his own. His skill and understanding of the craft are well beyond his years, and after many years working under Hinoura Hamono, he has opened a new workshop under Tsuchinone. We look forward to seeing this new project develop.
