Yoshikane is a famous workshop based in Sanjo, Niigata, headed by Kazuomi Yamamoto, who apprenticed under Tsuneo Yoshida. The workshop is known for its consistency, reliability, and commitment to excellence, producing knives that are highly regarded by both professionals and enthusiasts. Yoshikane’s influence also extends beyond its own work, as many blacksmiths who have apprenticed there have gone on to establish excellent workshops of their own.
