Kanekoma Higonokami

Higonokami is a popular Japanese folding pocket knife that doesn't have a locking mechanism and uses a friction fit as its locking mechanism. Another feature is the tail that is used as a lever to open the blade. Kanekoma Higonokami is the only company in Japan that allows the use of the name Higonokami, because Higonokami is the trademark of the Miki Custom Knife Guild. Many Japanese folding knives could be called Higonokami style, but Kanekoma is the only one that allows it to sell it as a Higonokami.
